Questions and Answers

FA4877-20-Q-A283 – Carpet Installation Bldg 130

1. Is there a specific way the tiles shall be placed for installation?

a. Yes, the tiles will be installed in a “quarter turn” fashion. This installation method matches the rest of the building’s carpet. The updated PWS is included to state the installation method.

2. Is the Justification & Approval document included to limit the carpet to only the carpet named on that document?

a. Yes. The J&A is to specify the carpet selection to only the requested carpet: Sector BT285 Granite 7948 from Mohawk Group QTR TURN. This specific carpet tile has been approved due to matching the rest of the building’s carpet.

3. Will new transition and wall base be required?

a. Yes. According to PWS Paragraph 1.1.7.2.1 no transition or wall base shall be reused.

4. Is the contractor responsible for moving the refrigerator?

a. Yes. According to PWS Paragraph 1.1.3, the contractor is responsible for moving and lifting furniture for installation.

5. Can you provide pictures of the site?

a. 3 pictures are provided on the following page.
