1.0 SCOPE

1.1 PURPOSE

The purpose of the Tyndall Air Force Base (TAFB) project XLWU 19-8140, Repair 6000 Area Facilities Multi 6011, 6017, 6021, 6025, 6027, 6031, 6070, 26055, 6051, 6053, 6054, 6055, 6056, 6085 is to repair hurricane damage and to bring the building and its supporting facilities into full compliance with current building codes, including the DoD Building Code, and the portion of the Florida Building Code that contains the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) provisions. (TAFB will be treated as a Wind Zone 4 located site in accordance with UFC-3-301-01). This task order delivery method is Design-Build (D-B). Work on supporting facilities includes external building fixtures, building utilities within the Points of Demarcation (POD) for privatized utilities, and work within the Administration / Office Building. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and services necessary to complete the project within the allotted timeframe.

A. This project has an estimated period of performance from Notification to Proceed

(NTP) through completion and turnover of the facility back to the Government for mission operations of 280 calendar days.

1.2 FIELD CHANGES:

A. Field Changes: The Contractor and the Government may agree to perform a no cost field change. Field changes are made when the change appears to be mutually beneficial to all parties and would not require changing the negotiated items. All field changes must be approved by the CO prior to execution. Only the CO may authorize field changes or deviations from the SOW.

2.0 SUMMARY OF WORK FOR AREA 6000

2.1 TASK 1.0

A. B6011 – HAZMAT Storage Facility

a. Building 6011 is a post HAZMAT Storage Facility. It is a slab on grade pre-engineered metal building with a gable roof design that sheds water from the East and West ends of the building. It is comprised of steel metal frame members with sheet metal covering the exterior walls. This building is a one story facility with two roll up doors, one at the front and one at the rear of the building.

b. This building is approximately 7,100 square feet.

c. The building has no HVAC system. It contains an electrical system for lighting purposes and a plumbing system for utilities purposes.

b. There is a split entry door and a roll up door in the NE corner. The building is

G. B6070 – JBECC Facility XLWU 19-8140K

a. Building 6070 is the Joint Base Expeditionary Connectivity Center (JBECCS).

It is a slab on grade pre- engineered metal building with standard metal walls and roof panels. The roof is a gable design gently sloping water to the South and North ends of the building where the water is collected by gutters and downspouts to an above ground drainage system.

b. This facility, constructed in 2005, a 7500 sf facility constructed with metal panel exterior, aluminum windows, solid steel doors, overhead and roll-up doors, metal panel steep slope roof systems, gutters and downspouts. The facility interior has fixed partitions, drywall with stub framing, metal doors, wood and metal frame, plastic shower compartment, toilet partitions, urinal screen, and water closets.

a. Building 6085 is a small unconditioned storage facility used for petroleum oils and lubricant (POL) containment boom equipment. The building is constructed as a slab on grade with reinforced concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls. The building has a wood truss gable roof with plywood decking, asphalt shingles and aluminum soffits and trim.

b. The facility is fed by way of diesel generator with 100 Amps at 120/208Y Volts.

Storm damaged the following electrical areas: major damage to power distribution and damage to lighting systems. Existing equipment includes a 10 kW diesel generator with a 125 gallon fuel tank, two hydraulic power units (HPUs), and one hydraulically powered boom reel.
