Q&A – FA481422TF014

1. Is there a CLIN for suppling knife sets for each disintegrator system?

No. The Statement of Work requires contractor to:

Remove dull knives and install spare sharp set of knives -Spare set of knives for each machine must be provided and maintained during contract period.

-Perform this procedure four (4) times per 12 month period, once per quarter -Remove dull set of knives from site and re-sharpen to specifications. Return prior to next service.

Any costs for the spare set of knives should be included in CLINS 0001 & 0002 (and correlating option year CLINs).

2. Is CLIN XXX3 calculated by contracting or submitted by Contractor?

The CLIN Structure attachment has been revised to include separate CLINs for Emergency (1003) and Urgent (1004) maintenance. Contractor must identify the cost for each and a lump sum will be funded on the contract and used on an “as needed” basis.

3. Based on previous contract solicitations there was a CLIN provided for suppling a new set of Knives for each shredder during the contract year as well as a CLIN for parts. The parts CLIN seems to be listed in this solicitation as CLIN XXX3 in the base and option years but the CLIN for knives is not listed. Also not sure if the CLIN for parts dollar value is provided by contracting in the subsequent award or is it to be left up to the respondent to make that value determination. I believe previously contracting determined that CLIN value.

Any costs for the spare set of knives should be included in CLINS 0001 & 0002 (and correlating option year CLINs). There will not be any line item for parts. Part will be funded separately as needed using a Government Purchase Card (GPC).

4. I am hoping to find out if there is an incumbent contractor currently performing these services, if similar services have been performed in the past, or if this is a new requirement.

This is not a new requirement and there is an incumbent contractor (SYSTECH ELECTRIC

INC).

5. If this is a follow-on requirement, could you please provide the previous contract or task order number?

This is a follow-on requirement. Previous contract # is FA481417P0008.
