REPAIR AIRCRAFT FIRE TRAINING FACILITY

1. A Site Visit for repair of the Aircraft Fire Training Facility (AFTF) was held on 23 Oct 12, at 14:45. See attached list for attendees and CE representatives.

2. Contractors were met at the Visitor’s Center, and were sponsored onto the base. The following organizations then provided informational briefings:

a) 4 CES – general overview of the AFTF

3. Following the briefings, the contractors asked questions pertaining to the site, all of which were further clarifications of the statement of work. The questions are listed below:

Q: Are the pipes that are to be listed required to be stainless?

A: No, black piping is fine. Stainless Steel would be seen as an improvement over the existing piping.

Q: Pipe replacement from the propane tank to the control tower?

A: No, just rust removal. The pipes themselves are intact.

Q: For section 2.6 of the Statement of Work, is the pneumatic pressure relief valve for air?

A: Yes, that is correct.

Q: Are we to replace the water supply piping?

A: Yes.

Q: Are we to repair all of the Co-Ax valves?

A: Yes, they’ve been damaged due to corrosion.

4. The Contracting Officer (CO) is the only authorized individual to bind the Government. All correspondence is required to go through Contracting.

5. Contractors were required to submit questions in writing if they were unable to be answered on the spot by the CE representatives listed on the sign-in sheet. As of 19 August 2019, no questions have been received.

8. No other items were brought forward for discussion; the site visit was adjourned at 15:40.
