MATERIAL PROCUREMENT

STATEMENT OF WORK

16 April 2015

1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

1.00 General Scope

The material provider shall furnish all materials listed in the attached bill of materials and meeting listed specifications, necessary for the accomplishment of the projects entitled “Construct Pad 14 Addition”, Project No. KWRD 060095A, and “Repair Pad 17 Apron Access”, KWRD 060095B.

1.01 Material Description

1.01.1 Notification of date and time of delivery will be made as early as possible for all materials. A minimum of 72 hours prior to the required delivery date, a POC from the 819 RED HORSE squadron will contact the provider to coordinate the required quantities and date/time of deliveries.

1.01.2 Asphalt Specifications:

1.01.2.1 Must meet all Holloman AFB requirements for Type 2 Airfield Asphalt. Asphalt binder must be PG70-22.

1.01.2.2 Delivery of the asphalt must be made in a timely manner to ensure that the material is of the appropriate workable temperature at the time of placement. Material must be able to be placed and compacted before dropping below 175 degrees Fahrenheit.

1.01.3 Concrete Specifications:

1.01.3.1 Concrete shall have a minimum of 650psi flexural strength as determined by the 28 day third point flexural strength test.

1.01.3.2 Ash weight as a percentage of total cementitious material shall be 20%.

1.01.3.3 Water to cement ratio shall not exceed .45.

1.01.3.4 Corrected air content shall be between 4.5% and 6.5%

1.01.3.5 Tested slump shall be between 3 to 5 inches with a target of 4 inches.

1.01.4 Aggregate Base Course Specifications:

1.01.4.1 80 CBR mechanically stabilized base course. No. 3 type gradation as identified in Table 8-1 of UFC 2-260-02.

1.01.5 Dowel Bars

1.01.5.1 Dowel bars shall be 1” X 20” and entirely epoxy coated.
