1. Q: Do you have a TEMPEST requirement for EMI/RF emanations or do you only require a STC/Sound attenuation? The Statement of Objectives does mention both a TEMPEST and STC requirement. What level of RF attenuation and sound attenuation are you trying to achieve?

A: The room will have to be able to be accredited by DIA as a SCIF which require EMI/RF and STC attenuation. Requirement is to achieve an STC of 50 for amplified sound

2. Q: What are the electrical requirements for the SCIF?

A: Either 115 or 220 connection and all connections inside will be 115

3. Q: How many personnel/ work stations will the SCIF need to accommodate? Para 3.1.2.1 states 6 workstations, Para 3.1.4.1 states ten network drops. Can you provide a breakout of which drops go to which workstation?

A: Each of the workstation and the VTC area will have all networks (10 drops)

4. Q: What type of communication drops do you need at each work station – NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, SAR and spare. Please explain Table A4 Operational Floor Zone Box.

A: All will be fiber connections. One at each work station, and one central connection point to exit the facility.

5. Q: Are you bringing in fiber or Cat 6 Copper data lines? Are we to assume that unclassified will be copper and classified will be fiber?

A: All lines will be Fiber

6. Q: Will you require separation between classified and unclassified data lines? What is the separation requirement? Can you please explain the para 3.1.2.1 requirement for a Situational Awareness Wall?

A: The fiber separation is minimal.

7. Q: What type of Intrusion Detection System and/or Access Control System do you require?

A: SCIF’s have their own system which is called out to support their system.

8. Q: What are the HVAC requirements?

A: SCIF will get HVAC from the ducts within the facility.

9. Q: Will you require a fire suppression system?

A: Fire suppression will connect to the facility system

10. Q: Where is this SCIF going to be delivered / installed?

A: It will be delivered and installed to the 72TES vault in building 706

11. Will this SCIF be installed on a ground level floor?

A: Yes

12. Q: Do you have some sort of conceptual layout? The Statement of Objectives describes a server room, an operations floor and hallway. Please describe desired dimensions of each.

A: The SOW had a concept drawing approx. 20 X26 ft with a man trap doorway opening on the east side as installed in the facility.
