SECTION SF 30 BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

A. The following are questions from prospective offerors and Government answers:

Question: In section 2.3.1.5 the SOW reads that all analog cameras must be removed from the 1712 building. How many of these cameras are there? Where are they located?

Answer: None within the physical building 1712. Four (4) cameras will need to be removed in Building 1732 and one (1) camera will need to be removed in building 1734, for a total of five (5) cameras. The reference to "1712" within section

2.3.1.5. is a broad statement referring to the entire system as that is the location of the main "stem". The intent is for all non-essential equipment to be removed while conducting the work stipulated in SOW paragraphs 2.3.1.1, 2.3.1.2., and 2.3.1.3.

Question: In section 2.3.2.1 the SOW reads that the switch will be installed in the 1712 building. Is this the intended location for this switch? Will it be replacing an existing switch or being used alongside another switch?

Answer: The installation site for the 48 port full PoE switch is within Building 1735.

Question: 2.3.2.1 talks about a 48 port switch in one sentence, then a Pelco SM5200 in another. These are two different items. Are we to install a switch or SM5200, or both. If so this is an additional item that would need to be purchased, unless the GOV has this SM5200.

Answer: The Government requires the PELCO SM5200 be installed in Building 1712. The 48 Port PoE switch will be installed in Building 1735.

Question: In the RFP summary four PoE extenders are mentioned. Where will these extenders be installed?

Answer: The POE Extenders were to be utilized for the completion of SOW paragraph 2.3.1.3 in the east yard. The contractor will be responsible for placing them as needed to ensure adequate signal strength.

Question: Do both the camp switch along with the primary control room switch currently have gigabit SFP fiber modules?

This increased bandwidth will be required for the increased resolution of the new cameras.

Answer: Both locations are equipped with an SG300-28P 28 Port Gigabit POE Managed Switch.

Question: Will additional video storage be required as part of this contract? Given that the current length of storage on existing storage boxes is what you would like to maintain. Additional storage hardware will be required, as the storage requirements of the new cameras could be up to five times or more that of the current requirements. In order to maintain adequate storage the new cameras can be reduced to a resolution equal to the of the current cameras, however this will negate most of the benefits of the new cameras.

Answer: No, additional storage will not be required in this contract.

Question: In section 2.3.2.1 a new system manger (SM5200) is requested. Will this be replacing both of the existing system managers? If an additional new SM is not purchased and installed alongside the one requested in the contract, there will be no redundancy of the system manager should the new system manager go down for any reason.

Answer: The PELCO SM5200 System Manager will be replacing one system manager and be installed in Building 1712.

Question: In section 2.3.1.7 the SOW mentions that microphones need to be installed/enable microphones in buildings 1734 and 1740. Does this include building 1732 with the new cameras as well?

Answer: Yes, the government requires microphone/listening capabilities in 1732, 1734, and 1740.

Question: In the SOW, it calls out for new wiring to all equipment installed, is the intent to only provide new cable "If" the existing wiring does not meet the intent or performance of the new equipment installed?

Answer: Correct, SOW paragraph 2.3.1.4. calls for new cables and wire on camera installations, but only "if" the existing wiring does not meet the intent or performance of new equipment installed.

Question: Item 0003 of the RFQ states to re-install six cameras that were removed as part of line 0001. If I’m not mistaken, twelve cameras would be removed as part of line 0001. Are we only required to install six?

Answer: Item 0003 should state “Contractor shall re-install the twelve (12) cameras, removed as part of Line Item 0001, into the replacement CONEX boxes in the east yard of Building 1712 in accordance with the attached Statement of Work”.

This Line Item is corrected as part of Amendment 01 of the solicitation.
