Questions for South Zone Tree Clearing
1. In accordance with FAR 36.204, could you please indicate what the magnitude of construction range is for the Tree Removal and Land Clearing project?
This is not a construction project.
2. If this requirement is a services or supply contract (not construction), please indicate so and disregard this request for magnitude.
This is a service contract. Question 1 is disregarded.
3. Who will provide the landowner contact information regarding access to property for removals.
Contact information will be provided at contract award.
4. Will there be a separate bid for fencing replacement as at the pre bid meeting there was confusion as to this bid replacing the fencing but there is no mention in the bid documents.
An added line could be added, or remain as an all-inclusive price.
5. If we cannot obtain Fescue seed due to Covid shortage of seed can we use a substitute like Millet or other grass?
Land lease/cattle owner states if Fescue seed cannot be obtained then Rye grass can be substituted.
6. Can we use rolled hay to cover seeding instead of blankets.
Yes rolled hay can be used and the land lease/cattle owner states he has plenty available.
7. Was there a previous incumbent? If there was a previous incumbent, what is the award number?
Are you seeking new bids to obtain better pricing, or are they dissatisfied with the current contractor? If they are unhappy with them, could you elaborate on why so?

8. Also, is there a secondary contact? I want to ensure that we can provide good service.

9. How many gates and what is the width of those gates.
There are four (4) gates and they are 16 ft. tubing gates.
10. Are there any special hinges or hangers that are needed for the gates?

Land lease/cattle owner states he currently uses hinges that go through gate post and the gates are hung on them. Two hinges are required per gate.
11. We will need to know the location of said gates also prior to install.
Location of gates will be provided at contract award.
