A. Drawings are proprietary and will be made available at contract awar Q6. Can you post pictures of the range?
A. No. Due to the individual needs of any interested parties, the Government will not provide pictures of the range. A pre-bid site visit will be held in lieu of pictures.
Q7. PWS 1.5 indicates 20 random locations for testing. This is 10 times more than other federal contract requirements. Typically the lead removal verification is taken by the waste water generated from the range. And the customer does a visual inspection.to ensure cleanliness. There is a significant cost savings by not testing the range using standards written by the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in child occupied facilities for lead paint abatement. Will you consider deleting this requirement?
A. No. Per discussion with Base Bioenvironmental random sampling ensures the range is cleaned throughout the entire paved area and identifies potential “hot spots” in paved areas between the firing ling and target line.
Q8. When the range last serviced and what was done?
A. The range was last serviced in January 2015. The bullet trap was emptied and the auger motor was replaced.
