Electrical Training Course Q & A
FA4528-19-Q-WO02
Minot AFB, ND
Q: After contract award would it be possible to get a system manual to build off of, also what is the turnaround time for putting the course together?
A: A copy of our EY and MC texts could be provided. The contractor should provide a realistic “turnaround time”.
The turnaround time suggested by the contractor should reflect the time required to select an instructor, gather training materials, and prepare the course.
Q: The list of topics all pertain to electrical training and can be done by the HVAC department. I do not see any mention of “electronics” in the work requirement section. To be absolutely positive that the HVAC department can perform the training, I would need to clarify what is meant by “electronics” and to what extent the electronic training needs to be.
A: This requirement does not call for a focus on electronics. We require some training on basic electronic devices in the “Solid State Devices” section of the agenda.
Q: Does this training course includes any hands on exercises on existing electrical infrastructure at the Minot Facility?
A: No, the issue of safety is too great to have any hands-on exercises on existing equipment.
Q: With respect to the trainer bringing testing equipment/hands on training equipment. I would like to understand if there is a minimum requirement list of testing equipment/level of tests for the course. Due to the diverse training topics that are listed in Attachment-I, the testing equipment number can be large and some of these testing equipment require a more hands on training in the electrical discipline vs basic electrical training. We can work on this and meet the requirements but want to make sure that we bring and provide what is required as a minimum for hands on training.
A: The electrical testing equipment required is an electrical multimeter where the attendee will learn how to make resistance, voltage and current measurements with the meter.
Q: Are the two sessions including the 10 people being trained only in subject and hands on or a number of 20 trainees split in 10 each week?
A: It is the latter – 20 trainees split in 10 each week
Q: Are the training sessions weekly with any gap or two consecutive weeks meaning to be completed in two weeks?
A: The course should be taught in consecutive weeks.
