Flight Attendant Simulator Training and Rodeo Support Contractor Questions and Responses Request for Information 23 March 2012
Q1: Will potential bidders be able to submit other training locations for Rodeo support such as their local learning centers, or is the Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington location the only option?
A1: The support is required at Air Mobility Command’s bi-annual Rodeo event which actually takes place at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. As such, there is no other location option for the support.
Q2: Will an alternate bid which does not include a mobile aircraft simulator be considered?
A2: The government assumes the question is addressing solely the Rodeo support, as this is the only portion of the requirement that takes place at a location other than the contractor’s facility. Therefore, because the location for Rodeo support is Joint Base Lewis-McChord, a mobile aircraft simulator is required for this portion of the requirement.
Q3: Will a Flight Attendant Initial Training which is longer than three days and a Flight Attendant Recurrent which is shorter than three days be considered?
A3: The draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) provided historical data for informational purposes only; contractors are not bound by the data and are welcome to propose longer and/or shorter time periods for training.
Q4: Will the Air Force accept other CPR courses such as the Heartsaver AED course in lieu of the Red Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation?
A4: Yes, AHA Heartsaver AED is acceptable provided that it is taught by a certified instructor so that students can receive certification.
