1. Question: Drawing E-2 shows only one 2” PVC SCH 40 conduit into wet well for submersible pump cables. Typically, this application requires one 2” conduit for each motor and one 2” conduit for floats. Please advise on installation requirements.

Answer: See specification section 33 32 16, 2.05 D. A separate conduit is required per component, each motor lead, float wires, transducer, etc.

2. Question: Due to the hazardous gas from the wet well, a seal off or an air break is required on all conduit entering wet well. There are none shown on the drawings. Please advise.

Answer: See specification section 33 32 16, 2.05 C & D. seal and sealants required.

3. Question: Existing installation has a step-down transformer and panel for the 120V controls to the SCADA unit and generator. Typically, the lift station control panel will have the required

120V circuit breakers. Please advise if acceptable to remove existing step-down transformer and panel which are not in code compliance?

Answer: Follow requirements in Specification Section 33 32 16, 2.05 for the control panel. The control panel should be self-contained. Existing components should be removed.
