Statement of Objectives (SOO) Muir S. Fairchild Research Information Center Auditorium Audiovisual Refresh

1.0 OBJECTIVE. The Muir S Fairchild Research Information Center (MSFRIC) auditorium located in the Air University Library needs a complete refresh of its current audiovisual (A/V) capabilities.

AUL is AU’s premier research and collaboration venue. To accomplish the AUL mission of “supporting AU by providing professional services, quality products, and academic support programs across the AU enterprise, including library/educational resources, research capabilities, innovation, strategic partnerships, press and journal services, outreach, acquisitions, and professional development of teaching and learning practices,” we must adapt and update our auditorium. AUL supports and enhances the experience and learning of the officer and enlisted corps; over 22,731 in-residence and 48,651 distance-learning students annually. This collaborative space shall foster innovation and the development of ideas and problem-solving, enabling our Air and Space Forces to outperform our competitors. AUL cannot do this without the right equipment for the task at hand. This refresh focuses on adding the right equipment, and the collaborative space will mold experiences that benefit the warfighter and the future of the Air and Space Force. This refresh is in direct line with the AU Transformation Directive #2 in it directly affects student management, learning management, online hosting, and website functionality to AUL patrons.
