1. Student to instructor ratio?
A: 6:1
2. Equipment provided by contractor? if so what equipment?
A: Dummy weapons for weapons retention; breaching kits; any other items for CQB tactics/active shooter training. We are looking for a company that has ran courses to certify people on Basic
SWAT/SRT training. Assume we have no equipment so please bring everything needed.
3. Is this opportunity being awarded based on LPTA?
A: This is not a source selection. We will award based on the criteria stated in clause 52.212‐2.
4. How many students per this one course?
A: 25
5. Will government consider making this a multi‐year contract?
A: No.
6. Are the training facilities (MOUT, CQB facilities) provided by the Government at no cost to the contractor or will the contractor be required to secure outside facilities?
A: We have facilities to use; no cost for contractor.
7. What is the minimum and maximum class size?
A: 20‐25
8. Will medical support be provided by the Government during any range iterations?
A: The Government is requesting man marking cartridges. We will need medical at site for training, however, we will work with Goodfellow AFB Medical Personnel to support.
9. Will the government provide the necessary personnel (RSO) to run any ranges or is the contractor expected to provide? And will Goodfellow AFB allow a contractor to “run” ranges?
A: Please refer to question 8. We will not need an RSO… We are not using Army ranges.
10. Based on the comment to provide training on distraction device deployment – will the Government provide the type of device for the training and is the Government providing the distraction devices for training or is the contractor required to provide?
A: Contractor required to provide.
11. If contractor is providing training ammunition and distraction devices will the government provide secure storage?
A: Unfortunately the base can’t store anything. If storage is required it must be secured off base.
12. What is the skill level of the students?
A: Mixed. Most will have high level of experience while some are brand new to the Air Force.
13. Are dates of training 5‐11 May or does that include range set up days?
A: This is the date of training.
14. What are the instructor qualifications for this effort?
A: Highly experienced in weapons defense tactics/CQB/Active Shooter tactics/breaching
**Class certifies students on basic SWAT once completed.
