1. It is stated that "Identical sheet feed, including insertion..." is required. Does this mean that both devices must be configured the same way or that the standard paper tray and insertion trays must be the same within the same device?

"Identical" means the same on both machines, but we only have space for additional high capacity trays, or one additional module, on one machine.

The paper trays in the insertion module have to be post-fuser and need to be configured the same on both machines.

2. What quantity of RDO files will need to be converted and will they be converted on an as needed basis?

We don't know the quantity of the RDO files that will need to be converted at this time, but we know they will need to be converted and they will be converted as needed.

3. Will a maximum paper size of 12.6"x19.2" be sufficient or is 13"19.2" required?

The 12.6" x 18.5" paper size is sufficient for the initial paper trays and post-fuser insertion trays

4. Is a tape binder required? How much is this binder utilized?

Yes, we require the thermal tape binder (as we've required it on the past 2 lease contracts, which covered 10 years), and it is primarily used as needed for classified course material.

5. Can a different type of binding work instead?

We use two different methods of binding: Metal wire stitching, or "stapling", and thermal tape binding. Each is used for distinct purposes to satisfy customer requests.

6. Stapling, hole punch and folding are mentioned in the document. What kind of folding is required?

We are not requesting a booklet maker, so folding is not required. We use pre-drilled 3-hole stock in these machines when requested, so hole-punching is not required. Stapling is required and should be included with any basic finisher.

7. The average monthly print volume range is quite large going from 200,000 - 2,000,000 images. Is the device supposed to handle 2,000,000 images per month on average or be able to handle that kind of volume during a month that has a spike in volume? In other words, is the 2,000,000 images in a month supposed to be the duty cycle instead of the average monthly volume?

The 2,000,000 is in case we receive a spike. On occasion we've been up to 850,000 to 900,000 in one month but if an event occurred where the school house needed immediate printouts of updated materials then we need to be able to hit that ceiling of 2 million.
