Questions and Answers I Washer/Dryer Lease/Rental Service FA3030-15-T-0004 Question 1. How would you like responses submitted? U.S. mail?

Answer 1. All submittals shall be submitted in accordance with 52.212-1 Addendum, Instructions to offerors and be mailed before the closing date of 16 January 2015/12:00pm to:

Question 2. The specification sheets for the washers require an 18 lbs capacity and be a "commercial, heavy duty" type. This requirement can be met with a frontload washer (which will greatly increase the cost) or a 16 lbs capacity. (The current top load washers are 16 lbs. capacity.) There is not currently a Buy American Act compliant, 18 lbs. top load washer, energy star compliant that lists itself as commercial. Would the 16 lbs. capacity be acceptable?

Answer 2. Amendment 00001 has been created to reflect this as this was a discrepancy due to the customer’s errors. All submittals must review and sign this amendment.

Question 3. Is a site visit scheduled, could a site visit be scheduled?

Answer 3. A site visit will not be scheduled. All dimensions are available on the Appendix A located on the PWS. A map showing building locations where the appliances will be utilized is available to be emailed out upon request.

Question 4. What is the name, address and telephone number of the current contractor?

Answer 4. This can be found on FBO.GOV under solicitation FA3030-10-R-0001 award notice

Question 5. What is the current contract value? Please provide the current contract’s bid schedule or quote sheet.

Answer 5. Current Contract Value is $619,392.65. As for the bid schedule and quote sheet that information would require a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

Question 6. Does the current contractor use a subcontractor for maintenance and repairs of the equipment and if so what is the Subcontractor’s name, address and telephone number?

Answer 6. Yes, the current contractor uses a subcontractor. That information can also be obtained via FOIA request.

Question 7. Have there been any problems noted on the current contract i.e. CDR’s issued, deductions, meetings to discuss deficiencies etc.?

Answer 7. The current contract has no exclusions or derogatory comments under this contract in the System for Award Management. https://www.sam.gov/index.html/

Question 8. What machines are used on the current contract to include model names, model numbers and the manufacturer?

Answer 8. The manufacturer of the current equipment is Speed Queen and model numbers are:

Top load washer: LWNAIIITW01 Single Load dryer: LES17/LGS17/LES37/LGS37 Stacked dryer: KES17StkD

Question 9. How many of the dryer venting exceeds two full lengths (8 to 10 feet) of aluminum ducting?

Answer 9. One (1) – Bldg. 906 (CDC)

Question 10. Have there been any machines removed permanently from the current contract (quantity by models) and does the government anticipate removing any machines permanently on the new contract during the contract base year and option years?

Answer 10. No machines have been removed, and as of now the government has no anticipation of removal. However if removals are accomplished then modifications will be accomplished with proper funding adjustments.

Question 11. Have there been any machines added to the current contract after contract award (quantity by models) and does the government anticipate adding any new machines on the new contract during the contract base year and option years?

Answer 11. No machines added and as of now the government has no anticipation of addition, however if additions are accomplished then modifications will be accomplished with proper funding adjustments.

Question 12. On the current contract how many dryer connecting hardware are 3 prong? 4 prong?

Answer 12. There are one hundred and thirty(130) four(4) pronged dryer plugs. One hundred and two(102) three(3) pronged plugs.

Question 13. What is the average number of service/repair calls per day? Per month?

Answer 13. One(1) per month equal to twelve(12) per year.

12 January 2015 Question 06 from previous Q&A Answer 06 Current contractor does not use a subcontractor but rather their own employees and therefore their information is to available via a FOIA request Question 11 from previous Q&A Answer 11. Contrary to the government's response our company has added approximately 100 washers and dryers since the initial award of the existing contract.

Question 13 from previous Q&A Answer 13. Average five maintenance calls per month as opposed to the previously stated one per month.

13 January 2015 Question 14 In regards to the stackable dryers, is there any variance on the height restriction?

Answer 14 In two of the dormitories that the stackable dryers are required, the clearance height is 77 inches. In the third dormitory, the max height in the alloted space is 75 3/8 inches. However, in the third dormitory, the stackable dryers can be placed outside of the space available just inside the laundry room which will allow for a higher stackable dryer to be placed there.
