SOW – JBSA-LAK Air Terminal Loading Dock and Ramps

STATEMENT OF WORK

AIR TERMINAL LOADING PLATFORM

Prepared by 502 LRS/LGRDAS

JBSA-Lackland, TX

SOW – JBSA-LAK Air Terminal Loading Dock and Ramps

1. Work Request Description Contractor will provide all personnel, transportation, materials, and supervision in constructing the loading platform with ramps and ship the materials to 502 LRS/LGRDAS, 407 S. Frank Luke Drive, Building 1614, San Antonio, TX 78226. Contractor will manufacture all ramps and decks in accordance with all local, state, and federal manufacturing and safety laws and regulations.

End user will offload the equipment and materials and will assemble the loading platform and ramps at location. End user has 10,000 pound capacity forklift to offload loading platform and ramps.

2. Planned use Loading platform and ramp will be utilized to load/offload warehouse skids from enclosed box trailers with a 6,000 pound capacity forklift and to load/offload vehicles/trailers from flatbed trailers. The anticipated weight of the vehicles are less than 56,000 pounds for three-axle vehicles and less than 48,000 pounds for two-axle vehicles.

3. Equipment All loading platform and ramps specified below are to be included. The weight capacity for the loading platform and ramps shall be up to 60,000 pound forklift capacity (or greater). All areas above 30” above ground level will have removable hand rails, to include the truck dock positions and all other areas will have a minimum of 6” run off curbs.

Loading Platform:

- Standard truck height (adjustable height of 38” to 56” is preferable)

- 3 truck positions

- Mechanical dock leveler at each truck position (not required if loading platform is adjustable)

- Wheel chocks per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178(k)

Ramps:

- Minimum 8’ clear width ramps (10’ width is preferable)

- 2 ramps: 1 in-line with the 1st truck position and 1 in-line with the 3rd truck position (ramp the entire width of the loading platform is preferable)

4. Environmental conditions for outdoors The loading platform and ramp shall operate under all climate and environmental conditions recorded at San Antonio, Texas.

5. Warranty The contractor shall provide the standard commercial warranty on all equipment and on all labor. All Contractor or Manufacturer’s warranty information shall be filed by the contractor in the government’s name. All warranties shall be identified by product with a listing of name, address of the company and the expiration date of the guarantee or warranty.

6. Hours of Operation The contractor shall provide delivery to JBSA-Lackland, TX during the following normal duty hours: M-F 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, excluding federal holidays and JBSA-Lackland administrative days.
