Question and Answers for Solicitation FA3016-16-N-0125 – JBSA Randolph Recycle Equipment
1. Question: Item 0002, A, 11. Tow Bar or ramp clamp- Which one?
Government Response: Ramp clamp
2. Question: We can offer a trade-in value for the One (1) Allegheny Shredder System.
This will help offset the cost of the new equipment and we will then be responsible for removal and loading.
Government Response: No trade- in Government will keep all existing equipment.
3. Question: What is the expected throughput rate for each base (lbs/h, 96gal totes/day, or whatever other unit they can come up with)?
Government Response: lbs/h, 100gal totes/day
4. Question: What is the biggest incoming material piece for the shredder (incl. OCC)?
Government Response: Mat/ folders paper etc….
5. Question: What is the desired out coming particle size after the shredder?
Government Response: 5/8”
6. Question: Will alternate quote/ bid be excepted for the 3 locations in addition to quoting the spec’d max pax ? If it improves layout and utilizes less space, without sacrificing thru-put of equipment?
Government Response: All offers received will be evaluated in accordance with the solicitation
7. Question: Do the Yard Ramps have to be a part of the bid?
Government Response: Yes, the Yard Ramps must be part of the quote. Failure to quote on all Line Items will make the vendor non-responsive and ineligible for award.
8. Question: Would you prefer we submit our proposal along with basic specifications and any literature to support what we are quoting along with your filled in bid forms or would you prefer us to only include your bid forms with supporting literature?
Government Response: Yes, please provide literature.
9. Question: Attachment 1, Statement of Work, #14 Contractor’s Warranty. There are various manufacturer’s and each will have their specific warranty which we will call out in the bid forms. However, since this is listed as “Contractor’s Warranty”, are you asking for this to be above and beyond the manufacturer’s warranty?
Government Response: Standard 1 Year Warranty
