Wolfe Hall Controls Replacement Building 4330
KEESLER AFB, MISSISSIPPI
1) Are there existing mechanical record drawings indicating:
- existing air distribution ductwork and vav boxes, location, sizes.
Reply: See the first and second floor, PDF (two) drawings indicating the ductwork for the zones the existing, twelve air handling units are currently serving. The VAV boxes were added after the building was originally constructed and we have not been able to located any mechanical plans indicating there location.
- mechanical rooms plans that would indicate air handling units piping.

2) The area the contractor will have to work in for five weeks is the area which is served by each air handling unit (10,800 sqft) which is basically ten classrooms (1/12 of the building at a time). The owner will be responsible for locating the existing VAV box and moving/covering the furniture/electronic equipment. The contractor shall complete the VAV box replacement and the owner is responsible for restoring the furniture/electronic equipment in its initial location.
The building occupants are coordinating the sequence of the areas (zones) which will be down. The sequence will attempt to be kept as close to being adjacent to each other as possible but the contractor shall take into account having to move to areas throughout the building which are not adjacent to each other.
