Q: Do you have pictures of the C130 that needs to be moved for this project? We are looking specifically for the size parameters of the aircraft (length, height, weights, etc).

27-Jul-22

A: The Fuselage is 16.5 ft wide, 85 ft long, 16 ft high and weighs approx. 50K lbs.

Q: On the Experience worksheets, what does "Contract Type (FFP/CPFF) mean? 30-Jul-22

A: A Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) (FAR Subpart 16.2) contract provides for a price that is not subject to any adjustment on the basis of the contractor’s cost experience in performing the contract.

Cost-Reimbursement (Cost, CPFF, etc.) contracts (FAR Subpart 16.3) provide for payment of allowable incurred costs, to the extent prescribed in the contract. These contracts establish an estimate of the total cost for the purpose of obligating funds and establishing a ceiling that the contractor may not exceed (except at its own risk) without the approval of the contracting officer.

Q: What is the anticipated award date?

A: Award date is anticipated prior to 1 Oct 2022. All quotes must be valid until 30 Sep 2022.

Q: Can you provide more details on what need to be saved?

A: For the FuT we (59 MDW/SGO) are needing the cargo compartment section of the C-130. The cargo compartment items include (but are not limited to): stanchion poles, litter ladder, stanchion straps, functional ramp with ramp toes, and red Evans seats. The Hydraulic, electric, and aux systems will be needed to restore functionality. The save list also includes, but not limited to the Leading edges of wings, Wing tips, Engines, and Props.

Q: Can you provide more details regarding “restore functionality” is it just the electric and hydraulic for the doors and cabin interior lighting. What about com and HVAC?

A: “Restore functionality” is referring to the aft ramp. We (59 MDW/SGO) need to be able to open and close the ramp (from inside the cargo compartment at the aft loadmaster station).

We need to have functional internal aircraft red/white lights. Given the temperatures here in south Texas, we need to have the ability to cool the inside of the fuselage, this would have to be powered by the available 110v or 220v power available at/on the concrete pad, where the fuselage will be placed.
