MEMORANDUM FOR: AFTC/PZIOA

FROM:

SUBJECT: Technical Requirements Document for RF Over Fiber

1. The has a requirement to purchase RF Over Fiber solution that conforms to the following specifications:

a) 4-Channel. Each channel:

a. Supports RF signals from 0.1 GHz to 20 GHz

b. Has post amplifier

c. Is adjusted to provide unity gain (S21:0 dB)

d. Has NF =< 33 dB

e. Uses laser with different wavelength

f. Supports Maximum RF input of at least 20 dB

g. Is impedance matched to 50 Ohm for input/output

h. Has VSWR of 2:1 for input/output

i. Provides Gain flatness of ± 2.5 dB

j. Supports a P1dB Compression point of at least + 17dBm

k. Provides a spurious free dynamic range of 110 dB/Hz

l. Provides phase noise @ 10kHz offset of ≤ 120 dBc/Hz

b) Chassis based. Each chassis with:

a. 1U Chassis houses 4 Tx modules

b. 1U Chassis houses 4 Rx modules

c. 110 AC power

d. 4x SMA RF connectors

e. MUX to support single fiber communication

f. Supports operational Temperature range of 0 – 60 degrees Celsius

2. Delivery Requirement: 150 days ARO.
