920th RQW Deployment Gear
Q&A
30 Mar 21
1. Question: Occupational Badges: Do you have any additional details regarding how these should look?
Answer: Occupational badges have not been written into the AFI at this time and will all be custom to the personnel job. They will follow the spice brown like the official badges.
2. Question: Non-FR Coat and Trousers: The description is Non-FR but the part numbers provided are for the FR option. Which is correct?
Answer: I should have some FR and Non FR. I’m not sure which part number is provided in this context but the government will need both.
3. Question: Drifire Shirt and Bottom: No part#s or colors are provided. Can you please clarify?
Answer: Shirt doesn’t have to be Drifire just FR Spice Brown
4.) Question: The RFQ calls for the “TPU” liner in the ballistic helmet. This liner has not been available for 3 years now and also was never an available option for the EXFIL Ballistic helmet. I will need to know if the customer is ok with the Zorbium foam liner the helmet comes standard with.
Answer: Zorbium is acceptable.
5.) Question: The RFQ calls for the EXFIL Ballistic helmet to come “without front mounted shroud”. Our helmets comes standard with the shroud included and I would recommend they keep them on in the event they need them down the road. These can be removed once they receive them and the shrouds kept for storage so a secondary purchase is not needed in the future.
Answer: That is acceptable.
6. Question: We now make all our Space Force insignia, rank and tapes in the tri color material with admiral blue thread. Do you need these like that or just the regular OCP colors and thread?????
Answer: The 920th RQW does not fall into the Space Force, we are still considered Air Force. We would need the spice brown patches OCP Color and threads.
