FA252121QB030
920th RQW Deployment Gear
Q&A
29 Mar 21
1. Question: We now make all our Space Force insignia, rank and tapes in the tri color material with admiral blue thread. Do you need these like that or just the regular OCP colors and thread?
Answer: The 920th RQW does not fall into the Space Force, we are still considered Air Force. We would need the spice brown patches OCP Color and threads.
2. Question: I am working on this solicitation FA252121QB030. Is it the brand name requirement?
Answer: 2 items are brand name the rest are or equal. The 2 items are as follows:
Brand Specific Requirement:
1. Ear protection - 3M Peltor (Brand Name Only) - tried multiple brands, these are the only brand that work to hear during flight operations (form, fit, function testing through previous contracts), while preserving hearing. No other brands worked as well as these.
2. Drifire Fortex / Crye Precision Combat Pant Multicam DF2-CR-550CP (Brand Name Only)** Knee pads with and without (for flight engineers) - Requirements: lightweight, fire resistant, AFI 36-2903 compliant. Must be reinforced in knees and seat as aircrew perform duties that require excessive wear to these areas. Also require odor control, moisture management, and integrated knee pads for use on metal floors in aircraft. Due to mission requirements and harsh working environment, this brand has been sufficient.
3. Question: We are currently not on GSA. Is there a way we can still respond?
Answer: Yes you can still respond even if items are not GSA.
4. Question: Is this an ALL or Nothing BPA? We would only bid on the relevant clothing items. Just wondering if contracting would award individual BPAs based on the items.
Answer: This is not an all or nothing BPA. The Government intends on making multiple award BPAs.
5. Question: The BPA covers the periods 15APR2021 – 14APR2026. Are the quantities listed in the LOM.xlsx for that entire period?
Answer: Yes
6. Question: 3M Peltor – Do you have a specific style, configuration, or radio connection requirement?
Answer: Improved fit comfort for a variety of tactical helmets used by military professionals, Environmental listening, Clear, intelligible two-way audio communications via radios and intercoms, Ambidextrous noise-canceling boom mic, standard U/174 NATO wired “Quick Disconnect” plug. Like the 3M™ PELTOR™ COMTAC™ ACH Dual Comm Kit - SOCOM, Coyote Brown, 88901-000001.
7. Question: Is the unit still fielding M9 pistols, or do you need the requested holsters for the new M18’s?
Answer: The government will need both, some units have gone to the new M18s and some still have the M9s
