USAFA Band Audio Consoles Q&A

1. “Just want to Clarify that this is a BOX SALE quote request. By definition, No Labor at all

(No Install, assembly, programming, ETC)”

- Yes, that is correct!

2. “Will you accept the unique serial number of each audio console as the sole identifier for this solicitation?”

- Yes!

• 3 Systems: Are they independent or are they needing to be used as a combined network We require 3 independent consoles each with the capabilities listed. The consoles must be able to function independently and cooperatively on an audio-over-IP Dante network.

• Is the Application for a touring system or a fixed installation?

The consoles will need to be mobile. They will be used on tours across the US as well as in our own studios.

• If a fixed installation, is it a recording studio type space?

These consoles are intended for mobile use for live sound, broadcast, and recording.

• Are Flight cases required for the Audio consoles?

Flight cases are not required. We will purchase the specific cases we require separately.

• 120 Inputs. Are these all Mic/Line Analogue inputs or are they other formats?

The 120 inputs refers to how many individual channels of input processing the console has available. These can be routed from physical inputs our Dante inputs.

To reiterate the console needs 144 Dante inputs and 32 physical built in XLR microphone inputs.

• 32 Outputs. Are they Analogue or other formats?

We require 32 stereo busses which equates to 64 total mix busses, to include mix busses, matrices, and output busses. The console itself should have a minimum of 16 XLR physical outputs on board. Busses, digital outputs, and physical outputs are all completely different categories.

• The Split console functionality. Please define that further and what requirements that involves.

The ability to use one physical console and split its capabilities in two so as to act as 2 consoles. For example using one as front of house and the other as a monitoring console for the musicians on stage. Or to use one for front of house and the other as a broadcast mixer.

• Built in Dante Network. Yes, we offer that. Our Stage boxes can be MADI based or Dante based. What is the total Dante IO count required?

The consoles need to have built in Dante cards with 144 inputs and 144 outputs.

We do not require stage boxes with the consoles, but the consoles need to be compatible with our Yamaha RIO boxes. This means that the consoles must be made by Yamaha.

• Is training required?

No.
