1.0 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
1.1 OVERVIEW OF SERVICES REQUIRED: Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, equipment and personnel necessary to provide and install new furniture, including power disconnects/connects, delivery, and removal/disposal of existing like furniture in Bldg. 122, rooms 203, 205, 206, 207, 209, 210, 211A, 211B, 212, 212C, and 3rd floor rooms 1 & 2 on Peterson Air Force Base (PAFB), Colorado Springs, CO 80914.
1.2 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: Clarifications: Rm. 203 (6) Powered L-Shape monolithic workstation 5’6”x6’ 34”H MONOLITHIC PANELS WITH TACKABLE FABRIC TILES ALONG WINDOW curved corner with overhead storage, BBF, LED light/tack board and (3) 66”H MONOLITHIC PANELS WITH TACKABLE FABRIC TILES . Room 205 (6) 2-Pod 5’6”x6’ powered monolithic workstations, with curved corner work surface, BBF/FF LED lights/tack board, overhead storage. Room 206 (1)132”x48” table woodgrain laminate, wood edge, metallic base. Room 207 (6) 66”H MONOLITHIC PANELS WITH TACKABLE FABRIC TILES with overhead storage/tack/LED, BBF. Room 209 (3) 12’x11’,
(1) 5’6”x7’ powered monolithic workstations, 34” high along window wall, curved corner work surfaces, BBF/FF, overhead storage, tack board, LED lighting, woodgrain laminate, metallic paint. Room 210 (1) 4’6”x7’ free-standing L-shaped desk, LED lights, BBF/FF, woodgrain laminate, metallic paint. Room 211A (1) 7’x6’ free-standing L desk, LED light, BBF/FF, woodgrain laminate, metallic paint. Room 211B (1) 7’x6’ free-standing L desk, LED light, BBF/FF, woodgrain laminate, metallic paint. Room 212 (1) 7’x6’ free-standing L desk, LED light, BBF/FF, woodgrain laminate, metallic paint. Room 212C (4) 6’6”x5’6” free-standing desks, overhead storage, tack boards, LED lights, BBF/FF, (1) free-standing L workstation with overhead/tack board, LED light, BBF/FF, woodgrain laminate, metallic paint. Panel fabric grade 2 or above. 3rd floor room 1, (3) 54”W x 24”D desks with attached B/B/F pedestal and 1/3 modesty, (3) 54”W x 24” D returns with attached F/F pedestal and 1/3 modesty, and 2 high lateral file storage with common top. 3rd floor room 2, (4) 60”W x 24”D desks with attached B/B/F pedestal and 1/3 modesty, (4) 54”W x 24” D returns with attached F/F pedestal and 1/3 modesty, and 2 high lateral file storage with common top. Both 3rd floor rooms 1 and 2 will need overhead storage/tack/LED, one per workstation.
Panels shall be powered, include data/power covers for powered panel knockouts. Layout has been established see attached drawing for schematic layout and design. Project shall include takedown and disposal of existing like product. Include electrical disconnects/connections to building power.
Once the contract has been awarded, it becomes the responsibility of the contractor to validate the actual site conditions/field measurements. See Attachment for a plan view layout of each typical workstation, along with a description of sizes.
1.3 NEW FURNITURE DELIVERY, INSTALLATION and INSPECTION: The
Contractor will be allowed to use the parking area and entry of Bldg. 122 for unloading and staging of furniture during installation. The Contractor will protect all landscape, site work, and buildings during this process. All furniture will be set in place, leveled, tested, powered and all furniture shall be fully operational. All affected areas will be cleaned, dusted, and all debris will be removed from PAFB.
All damaged and/or deficient items will be inspected by the Contractor and the Government for disposition and punch-list. Any, and all, warranty issues will be annotated.
1.4 EXISTING FURNITURE: Existing like furniture shall be removed and disposed.
1.5 POST INSTALLATION INSPECTION: Conduct a Post-Installation Inspection after all furniture and equipment is in place. All project spaces will be inspected for completion and damage. All new damage will be the responsibility of the Contractor to repair or replace at no additional cost to the government. A single punch list will be compiled for submittal to all parties by the Contracting Officer.
Post Installation Inspection will be attended by Contractor and Government personnel.
1.6 CLOSE-OUT REQUIREMENTS:
1.6.1 PUNCH LIST/CLOSE OUT: All punch lists and punch list items will be completed within 14 days of final inspection. Any items that cannot be completed in that period of time will be addressed in writing by the Contractor.
This correspondence will indicate the agreed to completion date.
2.0 INFORMATION SOURCES: The PAFB PM will be available throughout this project to provide technical information. The PM will provide all necessary construction documents and resources at the Contractor’s request. 21CES POC is at 719-556-1425, user POC is SMSgt Charles Biddulph 719-556-3915.
3.0 GENERAL INFORMATION:
ACCESS TO GOVERNMENT PROPERTY AND FACILITIES: The contractor will be allowed non-escorted access to specific Government buildings on PAFB consistent with contract requirements. The Contractor will provide the Contracting Officer with a Security Pass list that indicates all personnel who will be working on this project. The list will be submitted at the post award conference. It will be the Contractor’s responsibility to update the list as personnel changes occur. The list will be printed on Company letterhead and include address, telephone number, and contract number, listing: full names of employees, date of birth and Social Security Number. Background checks will be accomplished on all listed personnel. Contractor employees will apply for individual identification badges at the Peterson AFB Security Force Squadron Visitor’s Control Center, Bldg 1334. Badges are processed Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
Upon completion or termination of the contract or termination of a contractor employee, the Contractor will surrender any identification badges and vehicle identification to the
Contracting Office the following business day. The Contractor and all employees will comply with all PAFB security requirement imposed by the local installation commander at all times while on the premises to include not using cell phones while operating a vehicle on Base. Contractor will obtain necessary badges(s) required for access to PAFB.
3.1 PROJECT LOCATION: The Project Site is the Bldg. 122, Hamilton Ave., Peterson AFB, Colorado 80914. Use East Gate, off Marksheffel Road, for deliveries.
3.1.1 PERSONAL PROPERTY: The building users will be responsible to relocate all personal property and equipment.
3.1.2 HOURS OF OPERATION: Perform work under this contract during normal hours of operation, Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm. Pre-approval must be obtained from the Contracting Officer for changes in work hours or to schedule weekend/holiday work.
3.1.3 FEDERAL HOLIDAYS: The following are recognized Federal Holidays. The Contractor will not be required to work on these days.
