Statement of Work
ADC-2500 Air Data Calibrator Upgrade
1.0 SCOPE: The ADC-2500 Air Data Calibrator is utilized in the Air Force Metrology and Calibration
Program to calibrate a wide variety of avionics instrumentation including altimeters, airspeed indicators, rate of climb meters, Mach meters, barometers, air data simulator/testers, pressure gages, pressure switches, and transducers. The ADC-2500 generates, measures, and displays absolute and differential pressures simulating air data parameters including static (Ps), total (Pt), and impact (Qc) pressures. The ADC-2500 is a portable and transportable device used in both the laboratory and on-site applications. The upgrade will add a touchscreen to ADC-2500, upgrade the pre-regulator manifolds, incorporate new proportional control valves, install new firmware, upgrade ADC software, install new rear panel with expanded ports, add an oil-free vacuum pump and establish a 5 warranty.
2.0 TECHNICAL TASKS: The Contractor shall accomplish all of the following specific tasks to comply with this Statement of Work (SOW).
2.1 SYSTEM UPGRADE:
2.1.1 TOUCHSCREEN: The Contractor shall add a touchscreen with a tethered stylus to the
ADC-2500 while retaining the current capability of operating the unit by means of an attached keyboard and mouse.
2.1.2 COMPONENT UPGRADE: The Contractor shall upgrade various ADC-2500 components with the new versions to bring ADC-2500 performance up to the level of the ADC-2500 Version II. This will include new pre-regulator manifolds for improved control stability, 4 new matching proportional control valves (2 pressure and 2 vacuum) which can be auto-adjusted by means of software in a system control loop and upgrades to the onboard computer memory and interface boards as needed to bring the system performance in line with the ADC-2500 Version II.
2.1.3 REAR PANEL UPGRADE: The Contractor shall replace the rear panel with an upgraded version which adds additional Ps and Pt test ports, an additional USB port, an external VGA Port for connection to an external video monitor and brings the configuration in-line with the ADC-2500 Version II.
2.1.4 FIRMWARE UPGRADE: The Contractor shall upgrade the system firmware to be compatible with the new hardware and to bring the system performance in line with the newest models.
2.1.5 OIL-FREE VACUUM PUMP: The Contractor will provide an oil-free vacuum pump with each upgraded system to reduce problems with oil contamination.
2.2 TRANSPORTATION: The government shall be responsible for the initial shipment of each unit to the contractor for upgrade. The contractor shall be responsible for shipping the upgraded systems back to the users.
3.0 SOFTWARE UPDATE: The contractor shall develop and install software in the upgraded ADC-
2500 to provide automated calibration support without the use of an external computer for the following
Air Data Test Sets:
TestVonics TTU-205J
CME ADTS-415F
Druck ADTS-405F

3.1 Additional Hardware: Additional hardware required to make this system function as identified by this statement of work shall be required.
4.0 ACCEPTANCE TESTING: The upgraded ADC-2500 Air Data Calibrator will be inspected and accepted at a destination specified elsewhere in this contract. Such testing does not relieve the contractor of performing all inspections and quality control checks at the point of fabrication as necessary to assure performance as specified.

DATA REQUIREMENTS
MANUALS: A complete user and service manual and calibration procedure shall be provided with each unit in contractor format. Manuals shall be on CD/DVD-ROM in Indexed Portable Document Format
(iPDF). The manuals shall comply with Data Item Description (DID) DI-TMSS-80527C and the Contract
Data Requirements List (DD Form 1423).
CALIBRATION CERTIFICATE: A calibration certificate, traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or other national metrology institutes (NMIs) shall be provided with each instrument. This calibration certificate must comply with Data Item Description (DID) DI-QCIC-80798C and the Contract Data Requirements List (DD Form 1423).
SOFTWARE USER MANUAL: The software user manual shall contain instructions to execute one or more related computer software configuration items. The software user manual shall be on CD/DVD-
ROM in Indexed Portable Document Format (iPDF) and prepared in accordance with Data Item
Description DI-IPSC-81443A and Contract Data Requirements List (DD Form 1423).
SOFTWARE TEST REPORT (STR): The Software Test Report (STR) is a record of the qualification testing performed on a Computer Software Configuration Item (CSCI), a software system or subsystem, or other software-related item. The STR enables the acquirer to assess the testing and its results. This DID is used when the developer is tasked to analyze and record the results of CSCI qualification testing, system qualification testing of a software system, or other testing identified in the contract. The STR must comply with Data Item Description DI-IPSC-81440A and Contract Data Requirements List (DD Form
1423).
