Questions from sources sought: Lease of Coagulation Analyzer Questions;

Notice ID: F1D4525156A001

1) Is this sources sought notice being used to locate potential contractors that can lease this system that will replace a similar system that in on a contract that is expiring?

Answer: Yes.

2) If so, who is the incumbent and what is the contract number?

Answer: Diagonistica Stago, Inc. FA286016C0001

3) What will the full planned contract duration, if solicited? Initial contract and # of option years.

Answer: This contract is for a base plus 4 option years.

4) What will the end user want to do with the equipment at the end of the final option year?

Answer: This equipment will be leased to the government; therefore it is anticipated that the vendor will uninstall and pick-up the equipment at the end of the contract.

5) Is there a brand name preference?

Answer: This is not brand name, but must meet the requirements as stated in the Statement of Work

6) The draft SOW mentions integration with the existing hospital computer system. Are there any details on this system to aid in compatibility of connectivity? Any cyber security concerns?

Answer: The lab interop system (LIS) currently used is the Composite Health Care System (CHCS) the future system is called MHS Genesis (a Cerner product). The analyzers are limited in how they connect to our system and they are not connected to any other part of our network or internet so they will not have the ability to send or receive information outside of the hospital.

All software upgrades or corrections will need to occur onsite with a contractor field service engineer. There are no cyber security concerns

7) Will contractors that list NAICS 532490 be considered?

Answer: Negative, only NAICS code 325413 as stated in this notice will be considered
