Robotic Grit Blast Booth System Questions and Answers #2

1. Question: Are we able to get pictures of the current manual system being used – hoppers, feeders, and recovery system?

Answer: It is not a requirement to match the existing equipment. The equipment provided shall meet the requirements in the PD.

2. Question: What is the rate of material deposited per minute?

Answer: The system shall be capable of blasting/depositing 6 lbs/min or lower and 20 lbs/min or higher.

This rate shall be adjustable per Purchase Description Section 3.1.B. The recovery system shall be able to handle the maximum deposition rate.

3. Question: What is the preferred type of recovery – pneumatic – dust collector only or mechanical using a conveyor?

Answer: The PD calls out a dust collector and media recovery. The equipment shall meet the requirements in the PD.

4. Question: What is the expected pit depth?

Answer: No pit depth requirement in the PD.

5. Question: Robot and track would be inside the enclosure and class 1 division 2. P350ia mounted to a seventh axis track, no additional covers or bags provided; planning on one gun mounted on M710 – is all of this acceptable?

Answer: The PD calls out that the rails shall be designed to operate in and withstand the abrasive grit environment.
