STATEMENT OF WORK
BUILDING 228 SECURITY SYSTEM
78 ABW/SCXF
BUILDING 228
06 June 2012
A. SCOPE OF WORK
1. This statement of work establishes requirements for the replacement of the security system in Building 228.
2. The work will be accomplished at Building 228, Robins AFB GA. The contractor shall provide to the government a proposed schedule of work.
3. The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, material, transportation, hardware, and software necessary for the replacement of the SC security system. All work shall be performed under the supervision of qualified personnel. The contractor shall be a Maxxess provider. The system shall be compatible with the previously installed system.
4. The contractor shall replace all card swipes, controllers and all wiring and cabling. The contractor shall provide a new computer with the MAXxess security card system, as well as migrate database information from the existing legacy system to the new system. The computer shall use the Windows 7 operating system and provide a printer attached to the computer. The stand alone printer shall be a monochrome laser jet, and will not be connected to the network. The contractor shall locate the MAXxess computer and the Metasys computer in a new location within Building 225, Room 113, storage room. The contractor shall train facility personnel on the proper operation of the new security system. In addition to replacing card swipes in building 228, the contractor shall provide and install a new card swipe and associated hardware for Room 132.
5. The contractor shall make changes as required to Building 228 infrastructure to accommodate the security system installation. Changes may include installation of utilities, assembly, routing of cabling, dismantling, etc.
6. As building 228 is a controlled area, the contractor shall provide a list of all technicians to perform work, including social security numbers and any other information as required, prior to commence of work. Initial entry to the work areas will be granted by Mr. John Castonguay, 78 ABW/SC Security Manager at (478) 926-2561.
7. As it is crucial to restore secured access to building 228, the contractor shall have 10 business days to complete installation once work has commenced.
8. The contractor shall dispose of scrap and waste generated in the performance of the contract at the end of each workday. Waste shall be removed from the Base and disposed of by the contractor in conformance with local and federal regulations.
9. Contractor Liability for Damage. The contractor shall be liable for any damage to the building systems resulting from improper installation, negligence, or inexperienced technicians.
10. The contractor shall provide all necessary utility disconnects and hookups.
11. A site visit will be scheduled by the Contracting Officer to allow potential offeror’s opportunity to view the existing system and develop a security system solution that meets the below specifications.
12. The contractor shall coordinate with local operating personnel.
