Questions & Answers 08/11/2014

Q. Please advise how many 20s and 40s are required for this solicitation.

A. please follow the amounts on the Combo instead of the SOW, that change was not caught before it was published. The total are 40 of the 20 foot containers and 96 of the 40 foot containers.

Q. The standard container size are 40 ft long x 8 ft wide x 8.5 ft high 20 ft long x 8 ft wide x 8.5 ft high.

The solicitation states 40 ft x 8 x 8 & 20 x 8 x 8. I am assuming you mean standard shipping containers.

A. The larger containers are acceptable.

Q. A previous quote detailed that these containers must be stackable to 5 containers high.

Please confirm that these units need to be in that condition as I want to compare apples to apples when I bid.

A. Per the SOW the containers must be structurally sound meaning they can be stacked up to regular heights so yes they must be stackable 5 high.

Q. I have heard from a vendor that the road to Site 1 where these containers are to be delivered is washed out and not driveable by commercial truck. Can you please confirm the condition of the road

- is it paved, can commercial trucks and fork lift get out there?

A. The road is currently passable we drive commercial trucks on it weekly and maintain it in a state to support commercial vehicles hauling large construction equipment which are much heavier than sealand containers.
