Questions and Answers – Solicitation F17PS00076

Q1. Can we access the fence line with a four-wheel drive vehicle the entire length?

A1. Yes, but not the entire length. There is a quarter-mile stretch that crosses a wet/cattail choked drainage that may require some materials to be hand-carried.

Q2. What time of year do you recommend for the work?

A2. March, April, early May.

Q3. If I am reading the RFP correctly, others will do the staking every quarter mile?

A3. Not applicable as old fence will be replaced with no change in alignment.

Q4. Are we allowed to clear access for vehicles to carry fencing & materials?

A4. Should not be needed (sparse upland desert shrub habitat) but this is negotiable.

Q5. Should the Steel T-Posts be 1.25 or 1.33?

A5. The Steel T-Post shall be 1.33.

Q6. What are the staple requirements?

A6. The staples shall be Knurled or Barbed, 1 3/4 inch.
