DATED: July 17, 2015

LOCATION: National Fish and Wildlife Forensics Laboratory 1490 East Main Street Ashland, OR 97520

Background

In 2006, the National Fish and Wildlife Forensic Laboratory (NFWFL) purchased an NEC Unified Solutions, Aspire telephone system. The system includes 2 main consoles, 7 Plantronics wireless headsets with bases, and 102 telephones. There are 8 analog business lines which are used for local incoming and outgoing calls, and outgoing toll-free calls, and one T1 circuit with 7 voice channels which handle all non-toll free, outgoing long distance telephone calls.

The NFWFL is replacing this system with newer equipment.

C. Site Visits: There will be an onsite inspection meeting held at the lab. The Technical Point of contact will lead the inspection at the site where services are to be performed. This will enable vendors to identify any general and local conditions that affect the cost of contract performance.

Information provided at the site visit shall not alter the terms and conditions of the solicitation and specifications.

C.1 Site Visit Date: July 27, 2015 at 9:00 AM Location: National Forensic Lab, 1490 East Main St., Ashland, OR 97520

C.2 Post Site Visit: The lab requests a follow up meeting to be set up by each vendor to showcase the phone system and capabilities. These meetings should be set up for the dates of August 5-6, 2015. Please call Darrell Hegdahl at 541-482-4191 to set up meeting time. All proposals and pricing will have had to be submitted by the proposal deadline of July 31st for the meeting to take place.

D. All proposals will be submitted showing the total project cost but should include an itemized equipment breakdown and cost along with the total labor cost for the project.

E. Onsite response time for equipment service and/or repairs must be within 4 to 6 hours of the request. The NFWFL is a federal law enforcement facility serving State, Federal and International agencies, and requires un-interrupted telephone capability.
