About this file

This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) document from the Florida Department of Health (DOH), specifically involving the Office of Information Technology's Bureau of Clinic Management and Informatics. The procurement seeks a three-year dataset license maintenance from First Databank, Inc. for MedKnowledge datasets, enabling critical file exchanges within the Department's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and Change Healthcare's prescribing and pharmacy dispensing systems. The solicitation was posted on April 18, 2025, with a response deadline of May 9, 2025, allowing potential vendors approximately three weeks to review the opportunity.

The procurement is valued at $120,000.00 and is structured as a single-source acquisition due to the unique compatibility of First Databank's proprietary database with DOH electronic systems. The justification highlights that the FDB MedKnowledge database is essential for data exchange between DOH and Change Healthcare, and without this specific dataset, files cannot be successfully transferred. The acquisition supports the DOH's mission of protecting, promoting, and improving health for all people in Florida, with a focus on enabling County Health Departments (CHD) to deliver essential services through integrated technological infrastructure.
