About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) from the Department of the Air Force (SLD 30) seeking detailed submissions from companies interested in developing a launch site at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB). The RFI requires comprehensive information across six key sections: Corporate Administration, Launch Site Operations, Marketing, Schedule, In-Kind Consideration, and Additional Enhancements.

Companies must provide extensive details including corporate structure, financial capabilities, launch vehicle program specifics, environmental impact analysis plans, security requirements, market strategy, and a projected timeline for achieving Initial Launch Capability. Critical submission requirements include demonstrating expertise in space launch operations, capability to support commercial space activities, compatibility with federal activities, and ability to meet National Security Space Launch (NSSL) program requirements. The document emphasizes that a real property outgrant cannot be granted until final environmental approvals are obtained, and companies must show they can provide launch services across defense, intelligence, civil, and commercial market segments.
