About this file
This document contains detailed specifications for the remounting of five Type III ambulances (Units #1528, #1529, #1624, #1717, and #1818) for Rowan EMS, with each unit being a Ford E450 158-inch chassis from model years 2014-2018. The specifications outline comprehensive remounting requirements including installation of new 2024 or newer van cutaway chassis with the largest available gas engine, meeting CAAS 3.0 standards. Each unit requires extensive modifications including HVAC replacement, emergency lighting systems, interior console work, and installation of various safety and medical equipment including Stryker cot systems.
The technical specifications are highly detailed and consistent across all five units, with slight variations in equipment transfers and specific requirements. Key elements include replacement of OEM mirrors with Velvac brand aftermarket mirrors, installation of Knox brand MedVault systems, SIERRA MG90 5G AIRLINK wireless gateways, and Aeroclave connection ports. All units require complete exterior repainting in white with new customer-supplied graphics, inspection and replacement of various components including door gaskets, grabrails, and electrical systems, and installation of new red seatbelts meeting current SAE Automotive and CAAS 3.0 standards. The document does not specify pricing terms, submission deadlines, or contract award dates.
