About this file

This document outlines an 8-hour confined space entry training course covering OSHA, NFPA and ANSI standards. The course includes classroom lecture, practical demonstrations and performance evaluations. Lectures cover definitions, permit writing, roles and responsibilities, hazards, equipment, atmospheric monitoring, ventilation and rescue procedures. Practical exercises allow trainees to practice permit writing, equipment use, rescue scenarios and more. Successful completion results in a 2-year certification for entrants, attendants and supervisors.

The related federal contract opportunity solicits gas detection units and confined space training from the Department of Interior Bureau of Reclamation. Offerors should provide confined space training that meets the requirements outlined in the attached course outline to support gas detection unit operation.
