About this file
This document is a set of Supplementary Conditions for a Construction Services for Intersection Improvements contract with the City of Leander, Texas. The contract includes two options: Option A for intersection improvements at Collaborative Way and Bagdad Road, and Option B for intersection improvements at CR175 and Journey Parkway. The work involves construction of southbound left turn lanes, permanent traffic signals, pavement markings, storm sewer modifications, and erosion and sedimentation controls. The project will utilize Procore, a web-based project management system, for document control and communications. The contract requires the contractor to comply with prevailing wage rates and provisions for the state of Texas, and to prepare and comply with a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan. The contract also specifies contractor insurance requirements, including workers' compensation, general liability, and automobile liability coverage. Payment applications must be submitted at least 20 days before the established progress payment dates, with supporting documentation.
The contract is subject to Texas Government Code regarding preservation and access to contracting information. The Owner is exempt from sales and use tax for materials incorporated into the work. The unit prices for items of unit price work may be subject to reevaluation and adjustment if the variation in quantity differs by more than 20% from the estimated quantity. The contract documents specify conditions that may result in work being stopped, such as inadequate housekeeping or noncompliance with permits.
