TCCD will select the CMAR through a two-step process as outlined in the Texas Government Code, first ranking firms to create a shortlist, then requesting fee and general conditions proposals.

The selection process will involve evaluating RFQ responses, creating a shortlist of firms, requesting fee proposals, reviewing those proposals, and conducting interviews before making a final selection. Interested firms should submit their qualifications through the Bonfire bid portal at https://tccd.bonfirehub.com/. The project contact is Darren King, Construction Purchasing Manager, who can be reached at darren.king@tccd.edu. The CMAR will be responsible for both preconstruction and construction services for this campus development project, with the goal of consolidating and improving science education facilities at the TCCD Northeast Campus.

The RFQ qualification submission deadline is Friday, November 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM local time. A virtual initial public conference is scheduled for Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM local time. See our bid portal for more specific information, Bonfire: https://tccd.bonfirehub.com/. Darren King, Construction Purchasing Manager, darren.king@tccd.edu.

TCCD is selecting a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to provide preconstruction and construction services for the consolidation of two science education facilities into a single, new building on the Northeast Campus located at 828 West Harwood Road, in Hurst, Texas.

In addition, the vacated science buildings will be renovated for use as additional staff and general-purpose classroom spaces.
