About this file

This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) for Bulk Fuel Services, Solicitation Number 5-462-001. The Addendum provides responses to questions submitted by potential bidders, including the current incumbent, Midtex Oil. The RFP is seeking bids for the delivery of diesel and unleaded fuel, with the fuel storage tanks being located below ground. Bidders are allowed to subcontract the hauling of the fuel to a common carrier, and TSD is aware that the base price of fuel will fluctuate daily, while the contractor's constant will remain fixed for the term of the contract.

Regarding pricing, TSD does not have a specific date required for reference for the base Posted Terminal Price, and bidders are expected to utilize a date that allows them to submit a bid response by the specified due date of June 20, 2024. TSD will determine the lowest bidder's constant based on the information provided in the bid responses, which should separately specify the constant and terminal price as well as provide a unit total.
