About this file
This is a Scope of Work document for engineering services issued by Greenville County Schools in South Carolina for parent drop-off improvements at four elementary school locations: Bethel Elementary School in Simpsonville, Bryson Elementary School on Bryson Heights Drive in Simpsonville, Greenbrier Elementary School on Log Shoals Road, and Skyland Elementary School on North Highway 14. The selected consultant shall provide comprehensive engineering services including design, permitting, bidding assistance, and construction administration across all four campuses. Work phases include project initiation with kickoff meetings and site evaluations, topographic and utility surveys, geotechnical investigations, design development with preliminary documents, preparation of complete construction documents, permit application and coordination with regulatory agencies, bidding assistance including RFI responses and addenda preparation, and construction administration services such as preconstruction meetings, site observations, submittal reviews, and final closeout. The improvements at each location are intended to increase on-site vehicle storage capacity, improve internal traffic circulation, enhance pedestrian safety, and include modifications to pavement, grading, drainage, signing, pavement markings, and landscaping restoration.
The document does not specify response dates, due dates, contract terms, renewal options, pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent information, or funding sources and amounts. The scope of work is comprehensive and requires the consultant to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and professional services necessary to complete the full scope of planning and implementation. Notably, work at Bryson Elementary School requires coordination with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and UGATA regarding the proposed Swamp Ramp Trail Extension on Bryson Heights Drive, indicating additional stakeholder coordination beyond the school district.
