About this file

This is a Commodity Listings for local purchase proposal from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Human Services, specifically for shell eggs for the Norristown State Hospital. The document details a procurement opportunity for fresh Grade A, medium-sized eggs to be delivered in 30-dozen cases, with quantities listed as estimates that may be adjusted based on the facility's actual requirements. The eggs are to be bid at cents above or below market price, or at straight market price, with pricing based on the top retail price for Grade A eggs in the New York market as published in the USDA Egg Market News Report.

The pricing mechanism allows vendors to bid one monetary figure above or below market price, or submit "MP" for straight market price. Specific delivery requirements include eggs being delivered within 7 days of pack date, transported in clean refrigerated trucks at or below 40°F, packaged in clean rigid standard cases, and accompanied by official USDA or Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture grading certificates. The facility reserves the right to cancel order quantities with 10 days' notice and will only pay for products actually accepted. Payment will be determined by the actual net weight or count verified at the time of delivery, with any discrepancies to be noted on delivery slips.
