About this file
This document is a notification from the City of New Haven's Commission on Equal Opportunities (CEO) regarding new EEOC fee requirements for contractors working on city projects, effective July 1st, 2024. The document outlines a structured fee schedule for EEOC package submissions, with fees ranging from $100 for contracts up to $10,000 to $4,000 for contracts over $10 million. All developers, prime contractors, subcontractors, and tier-subs working on City projects must submit these non-refundable EEOC packages and attend a mandatory pre-award conference before contract award.
The fee structure is non-negotiable and will be processed through the City Treasurer's Office in conjunction with the Department of Finance and Office of Management and Budget. Contractors are required to submit payment via business check, cashier check, or personal check within seven business days of the pre-award meeting, with payments mailed to the Commission on Equal Opportunities at 200 Orange Street. The document emphasizes the importance of reviewing the updated fee schedule, preparing necessary documentation in advance, and submitting the complete EEOC package. Contractors with questions are encouraged to contact the CEO office at 203-946-6112.
