This is a Single Feasible Source (SFS) procurement posting document for the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a state agency under the State of Missouri. The MSHP seeks to establish an SFS contract for the purchase of an EDS (Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy) detector designed to operate with their existing Jeol Scanning Electron Microscope. The EDS detector functions as an add-on component to the SEM and is utilized specifically for gunshot residue (GSR) analysis within the MSHP Crime Labs. The contract period runs from the date of award through one year, with two optional one-year renewal periods available. The requisition number is RV172700218, and the SFS number is STATE 0000000598SL.
The EDS detector must be compatible with the MSHP's existing Jeol SEM, meet the laboratory's testing volume requirements, and include dedicated GSR analysis software. The Missouri State Highway Patrol currently operates an Oxford EDS detector, which is identified as the only EDS detector meeting all laboratory specifications. Oxford Instruments America, Inc. is designated as the sole supplier for this equipment, satisfying the criteria for Single Feasible Source procurement under section 34.044, RSMo. The buyer is Tammy Havalias, reachable at (573) 751-6108, with inquiries directed to Tammy.havalias@oa.mo.gov and purchmail@oa.mo.gov. No pricing information, set-asides, funding amounts, or specific award dates are provided in this posting document.
