About this file
The document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for Equipment Breakdown Insurance issued by the State of Florida. The ITB seeks to establish a multi-year contract to replace the current equipment breakdown insurance policy for several state universities, including FAU, UNF, UWF, FSU, UF, and UF Scripps Facility, as well as other named insureds. The selected broker will be required to provide accurate and complete pricing information, including annual rates per $1,000 of insured value for equipment breakdown coverage, perishable goods and premises coverage for the Department of Health, and extra expense coverage for FSU. The contract term is for four one-year policy periods from October 1, 2024 to October 1, 2028. The Department reserves the right to award the contract for any combination of the four policy periods.
The pricing for this ITB must be submitted on the provided Microsoft Excel price sheet, which calculates the discounted premium and the calculated premium based on the most recent ten-year inflation rate. Bidders are required to identify any applicable assessments or fees, but surplus lines tax fees shall not be assessed. The Department will consider the total cost for each policy period and reserves the right to award the contract for any of the grouped policy periods.
