Traffic Safety Banner Production

The purpose of this Amendment 0001 is to provide answers to all questions received during the question/answer period listed herein. All proposals are due by 10:00 AM

Eastern Time on Wednesday, March 27, 2013.

SOLICITATION QUESTIONS:

Question 1:

Typically for our banners, we use our own hardware which is a powder coated black bracket with black bands, however the arms are a metal sleeved fiberglass arm – so we get the strength as well as flexibility. They are engineered to angle upwards on the top, and downward on the bottom to give a nice tight banner presentation (something, straight arms cannot accomplish).

Would this be acceptable?

Answer: The specifications as noted in the solicitation are in accordance with JBG

Companies and the Capital Riverfront Business Improvement District guidelines. The

Contractor must be in compliance with JBG and Capital Riverfront’s banner specifications as listed below:

i. Pole Mounting Bracket Base: Black Aluminum 2"x4"

ii. Bracket Arm Pole: 20” .5 x .75 dia

iii. Steel Bands: Black Coated 5/8 x 41”

iv. End Cap: Ball Finial 2” dia w/2 Pins with rings

Question 2:

Are there any past tabulations available for this bid or is it the first time that it has been done?

Answer: This is a streamline solicitation for commercial items conducted under FAR

12.603. No separate solicitation will be issued.

Question 3:

Is this bid for the manufacturing of the banners, for the installation, or both manufacturing and installation of banners?
