About this file

This is a Notice of Intent to Award issued by the State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) Printing Services for RFQ #26*0396 regarding the production of HOT 50 posters. The project involves printing 250 or 500 units of posters, with the consultant contact being Scott Barclay (517-636-7744, BarclayS@michigan.gov). The document presents a competitive bidding evaluation with five vendors submitting quotes for both quantity options. DTMB Printing Services reserves the right to perform the work in-house and will issue an actual award only after an order is received and a decision is made to proceed with the recommended vendor. Protests of the award must be submitted electronically through the Vendor Self Service portal within the deadline specified on the Notice of Intent to Award.

SHAYLESLIE has been selected as the recommended vendor, offering the lowest pricing at $810.00 for 250 units and $975.00 for 500 units, despite having an 11-business-day turnaround and not being printed in Michigan. The evaluation criteria included pricing, turnaround time, price hold validity, whether work is printed in Michigan, and relevant experience. Other bidders included Lawson, Image Printing, Colortech Graphics, and Foresight, with pricing ranging from $1,019.00 to $1,532.93 depending on quantity. The award recommendation was made based on best value to the State of Michigan, considering the combination of evaluation criteria factors and price. Additional questions regarding the outsource process should be directed to Andrew Hale, Departmental Technician at DTMB Printing Services (517-636-0092).
