DTMA94Q1600036: Government Responses to Vendor Questions

Q1. The lead time for the materials is 60-75 days. Then there is mobilization and implementation. The performance period of Sep-1 to 30 does not seem practicable.

A1. The Government will work with the Vendor in order to establish a feasible Period of Performance.

Q2. Can you indicate the height of each fixture as well as any obstacles that would prevent reaching them by means of a vertical motion lift?

A2. Assuming this question is directed at lighting on the Pier, Parking Lot and Covered Shelter, the following is provided:

· The light masts in the Parking Lot are approx. 41 feet above the Parking Lot grade. These masts are hinged and can be lowered to the ground. There are no obstructions.

· The Covered Shelter in the Parking Lot has a clear height of 18 feet. The actual fixtures are about one foot above that. There is equipment stored in that area that the Government will move when needed, however, there are no other vertical obstructions.

· The light masts on the Pier are 35 feet tall. They are mounted on pile caps three feet below the pier deck, so the existing fixtures are only about 32 feet above the pier deck. Two of these light fixtures are somewhat situated over the water, so a boom lift probably should be employed for these.

· The cobra head fixture on the Electrical Platform in the Parking Lot is approx 18 feet above the Parking lot surface. There is equipment stored in that area that the Government will move when needed, however, there are no other vertical obstructions.

Q3. Please specify the allowed hours of work.

A3. The Government’s hours of work at the site are 0700 – 1730. It is preferred that the Vendor limit their work day to within 0730 – 1700.

Q4. Will you require a bid bond, OR Performance/payment Bonds?

A4. No bid bond will be required.

Q5. Is there a form for the past-work-references? If not, what contact information do you prefer?

A5. No specific form is required. Please provide a description of the work, a rough estimate of the value of the work, and a point of contact for the work.

Q5. Can the fixtures pictured in “1. APL Barge, 01 Deck.” be proposed as “all-in-one” solutions that come as a complete fixture (no separate bulb)?

A5. Yes, however, please identify the “all-in-one” equipment, and also propose the price for the fixtures as-specified so the Government can choose.
