3.2 Repairs/conversions/installations: Throughout the vessel.
4. GOVERNMENT- FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS/SERVICES:
4.1 Vessel Drawings- Only one set of drawings available on ship
4.2 Access to Vessel; contractor shall make all requests to attend Vessel at least 24 hours before desired visit. Contractor to limit visits to the normal work day/hours of the vessel’s crew, Monday through Friday, 0800 to 1730 hours.
4.3 Contractor to comply with Vessel’s Security Requirements (VSL) at all times while onboard Vessel.
5. STATEMENT OF WORK:
CLIN 0001: 5.1 Contractor will provide all labor, material, equipment and services to accomplish the following .
5.2 Provide the services of a Naval Architect to perform an engineering concept study to determine the feasibility of either converting an existing tank(s) or fabricating a new tank(s) to be used as a gray and black water collection/holding tank.
CLIN 0002: 5.3 Provide detailed drawings of new piping that will direct the “old house” gray water drains to the “new house” gray water drains, hold areas, all deck drains etc.
to the “to be established collection/holding tank”.
Note: To be fully compliant, there can be no drains or gray water discharging directly overboard from anywhere on the vessel.
5.4 The detailed drawings and specifications shall address, at a minimum, the following requirements:
a. Piping to transfer sewage, to/from new collection/holding tank to/from AMS MSD system and to/from the forward MSD system, to/from the new holding tank(s).
b. Piping to transfer sewage, from new collection/holding tank to AMS MSD system and forward grey water system, into the new holding tank(s). (Remove, redundant)
c. Pumps and piping necessary to permit pumping of the new holding tanks both ashore and overboard.
d. Salt water wash down and internal tank aeration of the new holding tanks.
e. Overboard discharge of the forward and aft MSD effluent pumps at both the port and starboard side.
f. Holding tank coating renewal using a coating compatible for sewage.
CLIN 0003: 5.5 In addition to the detailed drawings and specifications required, the
Naval Architect shall update and submit for approval the ship’s Trim and Stability
Booklet, Cargo Max Software and any other drawing or document required to be developed, modified and/or approved by the regulatory agencies as a result of these re-designs such as Fire Plans, Structural Fire Plans, Egress Plans, etc. If requested, the contractor shall be required to resubmit revised drawings and specifications to satisfy all regulatory questions and comments. ABS engineering and drawing review costs shall be invoiced to the Government. All other costs shall be borne by the Naval Architect.
NOTES: Wherever the words “detailed drawings” appear in this SOW, it is to be understood to mean all pertinent engineering calculations, detailed structural drawings, arrangement drawings, rip out drawings, piping drawings, HVAC drawings, electrical system drawings and all other drawings and details required to accurately identify, to a ship yard, the full scope of work and materials required. For example, structural drawings shall include detailed foundations, fabrication details, locating dimensions, installation details (to weld to existing ship structure), welding symbols, and a complete material list with material descriptions, quantities and material specifications as well as sources for the material. Electrical drawings shall include installation details, one line diagrams, equipment wiring details, cable sizes, cable types, watertight penetration details, and a complete material list. Piping and HVAC drawings shall include all penetration details, material descriptions, quantities and material specifications as well as sources for the material. All drawings shall include additional views, sections, elevations and details, as necessary, as required for clarification.
