Amendment No. 001 to Solicitation No. DJJB-11-RFP-0727 Private Counsel Debt Collection – Florida, Southern District

The following information is hereby added to subject solicitation:

Section L.9: Preproposal Conference

a. The Government plans to host a preproposal conference on Wednesday, June 6, 2011, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. ET. All prospective offerors are encouraged to participate in this conference, but participation and/or attendance is not required for submission of a proposal, nor will it affect an offeror’s eligibility for this opportunity. There are two ways to participate in this preproposal conference: 1) in person at the U.S. Attorney’s office; and 2) by telephone. Directions for both options are as follows:

Attendance In Person at the U.S. Attorney’s Office:

To participate in person (the Government’s preferred method), send an email with your firm name and the names of all parties planning to attend to the Building Access POC identified below in advance of the event.

Location: 99 N.E. 4 Street, Suite 300, Miami, FL 33132

Building Access POC: Julie Barranco, telephone (305) 961-9328, email Julie.Barranco@usdoj.gov

Security: Visitors presenting a valid photo I.D. will be given a Visitor Pass. Upon arrival at the 3rd floor reception area, you must leave your photo I.D. with the receptionist in order to receive a badge for further access. That badge must be worn at all times. Attorneys with valid Florida Bar I.Ds may bring cell phones into the conference, but all phones must be placed on “mute”, “vibrate” or be turned off as not to interfere with the conference. Laptop use may be permitted but only if cleared in advance by the Building Access POC identified above.

Attendance by Phone:

To participate by phone, send an email prior to the start of the conference (not later than 9:30 a.m. ET) to Melissa.J.Kerns@usdoj.gov to request the access phone number and passcode.

(b) Remarks and explanations provided at any conference shall not be construed as changes to the solicitation or statement of work. Oral questions and answers during the conference will not be legally binding and should be considered as clarification for potential offerors for informational purposes only. Changes to the solicitation resulting from any preproposal conference, if any, shall be made in the form of a written amendment to the solicitation.
