Q1. Is it your intention to order extra dome covers as spares? Or are you replacing the ones that the cameras already come with?
R1. Extra domes are because of the different mounting locations. Same internal camera will mount various different ways. Some cameras do not come with enclosures.
Q2. Request that this opportunity be modified to include “brand name or equal” as we find that requiring Avigilon Cameras is overly restrictive and does not provide for full and open competition without an associated Justification and Approval
R2. Avigilon control center requires cameras use analytics built into their (Avigilon) cameras. The
Posting has been updated to include the Justification.
Q3. The solicitation documents request “500 streams.” We think this is a request for camera license to be used on the listed servers. Avigilon offers three (3) Versions of camera license’s. They are Core, Standard & Enterprise. Which of these are you looking to acquire? Additionally, Core and Standard can be purchased in packages of 1, 4, 8, 16 or 24. Enterprise can be purchased in packages of 1, 4, 8, 16, 24 and 48. Each level offers additional discounts. That’s to say the 16 licenses purchased as 16 individual licenses is more expensive than a pack of 16 licenses. Both result in the same capability.
Would you like to purchase the licenses in packs? If so do you require any specific configuration?
R3. The Government would like Enterprise licenses; bundled into the largest packs is acceptable.
Q4. The documents show the following cameras and quantities:
Interior Camera
2.0L-H4A-D1 60
2.0L-H4A-DC1 60
Exterior Camera
2.0L-H4SL-DO1 54
2.0L-H4SL-DP1 54
2.0L-H4A-BO1 54
These are not valid cameras in the Avigilon price book. We also are unable to find reference to these on the Avigilon Website. Can you please advise which cameras you are looking to procure.
R4. The listed cameras were provided as part of the Government’s market research from
Avigilon/authorized resellers. The Government has not been made aware that the model numbers are invalid and recommend reaching out to Avigilon directly if needed.
Q5. Does the NVR’s at your location all reside in a central location or do you have multiple locations?
R5. The Government has multiple locations.
Q6. There is a request for “License – 500 streams”…..this brings up the question to which version of Avigilon VMS you are running at the present? The license can be purchased as “batches” and are less expensive the larger the batch, but with that said….depending on the version of VMS, some licenses could be wasted due to a batch being assigned to a particular NVR. If the version is 6 and higher there wouldn’t be a problem with purchasing a large batch, but if the version is lower than 6, I would suggest smaller batches in order to utilize all licenses.
R6. The Government is not running a version at this time but requires Enterprise for this requirement.
Q7. Do you have a better item list? The posting on FBO is not entirely clear in description or quantity.
R7. The Government provided the required Avigilon model numbers.
Q8. Are you interested in doing this procurement thru GSA?
R8. The Government is competing this effort to as WOSB open market.
Q9. I am hoping that with this being a holiday weekend you will extend this opportunity a few days.
R9. The Government is unable to provide an extension to this requirement due to additional internal procedure and the end of FY18.
Q10. Please confirm September 3, 2018 due date for this requirement, as that falls on a federal holiday. Can this be extended due to that issue?
R11. The Government has reviewed and verified the posting to reflects the submission due date of
Tuesday, 4 September 2018 NLT 3:00PM CST.
Q11. Is the Acquisition Security Questionnaire document required if we have a facility security clearance? We do have concern providing social security numbers to a procurement office rather than security clearance office in an open bid.
R11. Yes, the form is required for anyone submitting a quote for this requirement. If SSNs are applicable to be submitted, the Offeror may omit the SSN information during submission and the Government will follow-up for it if needed at a later date.
Q12. Is this an existing project with upgradtion of system or new one?
R12. New project with items to be installed/utilized with equipment in place.
Q13. Looks like these part# does not exist in the system. Not sure if we have amended one or anything missing . Please clarify
2.0L-H4A-D1 PART DOESN'T EXIST
2.0L-H4A-DC1 PART DOESN'T EXIST
